This is the story of Thongprakai, also known as "Thongdee," a beautiful young woman who moves to Bangkok in search of a better life. Though she attracts the attention of many admiring men, true happiness always seems just out of reach. As their affection proves to be shallow, Thongdee begins to question whether her beauty is a gift—or a curse.
