In the late 1970s, Jang Dal Goo moves to the Middle East and settles in a small kingdom, where he rises to success and becomes Count Saeed Fahd Ali. However, he eventually returns to South Korea to reconnect with his daughter. He reappears in the lives of his daughter, Lee Ji Young, and her husband, Kang Ho Rim.

Lee Ji Young is an optimistic woman with dreams of building a happy family and becoming a writer. Her husband, Kang Ho Rim, is a handsome and ordinary salaryman, living a simple life.
