Lu Sen, the successful chairman of a tech company, is confident in public but struggles with a rare condition—any skin-to-skin contact triggers a dangerous allergic reaction. Even a simple handshake could be life-threatening.

When he hears about a lifelike robot named “Friday,” created by Dr. Fu Yang, Lu Sen is intrigued. He arranges to have Friday sent to his home to test its capabilities, hoping it could help him connect with others without risk.

But just before delivery, the robot breaks down. Desperate to avoid losing Lu Sen’s trust and funding, Dr. Fu Yang convinces his former assistant, Yang Shan Shan—who the robot was modeled after—to pretend to be Friday until the real robot is fixed. With no other option, Shan Shan agrees and arrives at Lu Sen’s home, doing her best to play the part of the perfect robot.
